Getting to know you

It’s Thursday, which means it’s official Getting To Know You day on my Facebook page, where we talk about all kinds of fun things including books (of course), dogs vs. cats, dream vacations, our favorite meals, and more. Would you like to join the conversation? Hop right on in. :)Graphic: "What are you reading?" Via Lisa Berne, author of the Penhallow Dynasty series (Avon Books)

Chocolate chip cookies – yum!

On the “About Lisa” section of my website, I mention that I like to bake. And I’m a little braggy about my chocolate-chip cookies. But for good reason, honest! They really are amazing. I thought you might enjoy seeing a photo of the batch I made the other day. Photo: Lisa Berne's recent batch of chocolate-chip cookies

I shared the recipe, of course. Here it is also. Enjoy!

My Tasty Q&A

The virtual blog tour celebrating the publication of You May Kiss the Bride has just ended — congratulations to the lucky winner of the gift card! — and I thought I’d share with you my Q&A if you hadn’t already seen it.

“I am going to look around”

Spring. My front yard. Thinking of Anne Lamott: “I am going to try to pay attention to the spring. I am going to look around at all the flowers, and look up at the hectic trees. I am going to close my eyes and listen.”Photo: a budding tree in the front yard of Lisa Berne, author of You May Kiss the Bride (Avon Books)
